Firm launches Commercial Litigation practice

April 20, 2009 Building on its 30 year tradition of intellectual property litigation, Young Basile has formed a Commercial Litigation Practice to be led by shareholder Marshall MacFarlane. Marshall has over a decade of general litigation experience in addition to his many years as an IP litigator. In recent years, the firm has expanded its practice by successfully representing high technology companies in commercial contract disputes, such as Kavlico Corporation v. Honeywell International (C.D.C.A. 2009). “This has been a logical outgrowth of our commercial transaction practice,” remarked the firm’s chair Andrew R. Basile, Jr. “We have handled thousands of commercial deals in the high tech space, and as a result, we know our way around the commercial law.” The firm will focus on commercial disputes involving the sale of high technology products and services.
