  • Patent Prosecution Associate - Troy, MI
    Young Basile has an immediate opening for a highly motivated patent prosecution associate in its Troy office. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of patent prosecution experience, an undergraduate degree in either electrical engineering or computer science and be registered to practice before the U.S. patent office. The successful candidate must be a fast learner with excellent academic record, superb written and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to provide superlative client service. This position includes the opportunity for extensive client contact and exposure to IP litigation and counseling. Ability to speak Japanese or Mandarin Chinese preferred but not required.

  • Information Systems Manager - Troy, MI
    Young Basile has an immediate opening for an Information Systems Manager who will be responsible for all IS operations within the law firm.

    The Information Systems Manager will be responsible for:

    • Systems architecture and development of internal and client-facing business systems.
    • Selection and integration of third party software packages with internal business systems.
    • Designing, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and documenting all computing hardware and software, including laptops, desktops, servers, network devices, and phones.
    • Creating and implementing overall network security plan.
    • Providing technical support for all hardware and software.
    • Management of third-party vendors and IS staff.

    The Information Systems Manager will have a diverse skill set, including understanding of systems architecture, computer programming (including Visual Basic and SQL), computer networking, Cisco IOS Firewalls and Routers, Avaya VOIP phone systems, Microsoft Exchange 2010 Server administration, monitoring and performance tuning, Windows 7 Server administration, monitoring and performance tuning, and Active Directory management ability. A college degree with concentration in these areas or the equivalent knowledge that would be earned from such a degree is required.
